The October 6, 2023, the New England cruise from Quebec City to Boston began on October 4 with the NCL BOGO air. The trip began at 6 am on United Air from Colorado Springs to Chicago. Late start with plane bathroom issues but arrived in time in Chicago for our connecting Air Canada flight. Overall the cruise was very good. ship is dated and could use a facelift…our balcony cabin was fine but with some glitches..had to call guest services right away to fix air conditioning which wasn’t working well. The safe had issues with keypad sticking.. had to call twice for assistance. Balcony was not great and furniture was old one chair even had a big paint splotch on it.

Norwegian had the itinerary we wanted! We had not cruised on a ship holding 4000 passengers before & wanted to see for ourselves what it would be like. The Joy has lots of things to do onboard and we never really felt crowded even though the ship was full. This was our second trip on the Pearl. Previous trip was some years ago before the refurbishment. Since then things have changed. The entertainment requires some serious makeover. We wanted to do the East coast Fall colors cruise. This was the last cruise of the season, which led to a second cruise of the Caribbean. Stopped at most of the main east coast cities. I had a great time and would definitely do it again.
The ports were well chosen, just the time at the ports could be longer. It was sometimes a little bit rushy.
The food onboard is great, a final cake walk would be great, and thr prizes at the specialty restaurants are too high.the food there is great though.
