We just finished 22 Days on Silver Whisper doing a B2B Fall Foliage/Canada cruise. There were some very good things, but there were instances that didn’t reflect well on Silversea. Unfortunately, the expression "You Get What You Pay For" did not apply here.

One Princess cruise.
Good
Staff on a whole was great
Room was adequate but the shower was very small and the curtain was bad design
Food was good only one meal we couldn’t eat The dining room staff are very receptive
Excursions were hit and miss

This cruise was in Canada in an area that we hadn't seen before & we didn't have to fly overseas.
It started in Quebec City overnighting there. It was really hot in Quebec & we took a walking tour that was supposed to be moderate but many of us couldn't keep up with the tour guide. Someone ran ahead to ask her to slow down.

We chose this cruise for the ports. Unfortunately we had to skip Newport because of high winds, not any fault of Princess. Most ports we did on our own and the ones were we chose excursions were fine.

Food lacked seasoning but there was salt on every table. It was basically the same for the entire week. Desserts were especially boring. Cabin lacked maintenance but was clean. Typically cruise on Princess but wanted to try this due to itinerary. Hard not to compare Princess against Holland America. On the positive side we like the larger bathroom. Also the staff is great. Chose this cruise for the itererary and timing - peak fall colors in Canada and New England. Food was average, service was slow, dining room service was very slow. We chose this cruise for the fall colors and primarily to see Quebec City and Boston for the first time. All of the ports of call were great. We took cruise ship tours in all but Syndey (which is too small to justify a tour) and Halifax.
