This is a tender port and the ship is quite far from shore. The ship tender operations were disorganized so plan accordingly and leave plenty of time if you are meeting a 3rd party. It took about 20 minutes for the tender to get to shore. We left 2 hours from the time we got a tender ticket to the time we had to meet pre-arranged free walking tour, and we still missed the tour. This town is safe and easy to walk around. It was hot out! Definitely recommend the marina, which is about a 15 minute walk from the pier. The seals were hilarious and HUGE. The hand statue was fun, but get there early before there are lines of people. The statue was maybe a 10 minute walk from the ship - it was close. No excursion needed in this port. ...

Great tendered port. This is a resort town with a nice beach, walkable main town mall area, with a few places to eat and shop, and of course, the hand in the sand at Paseo De Las Americas, Playa Brava at Parada 1 (where most tourists headed). We ate lunch here since we were tired of the bland food aboard the Pursuit. Had fresh shrimp, langoustines, and salmon at Leonardo Etxea, a Basque Restaurant ...
