Great port. Easy to navigate. $6 per person taxi to the Zona Romantica, the older part of the city with cobblestone roads and where the movie The Night of the Iguana was filmed Lots of nice beachfront hotels and restaurants. Well worth the taxi ride. ...

So if you need a cell phone charger or something, it’s not a far walk, with police at the cross walk. ...
20 minute cab ride to Los Muertos Beach/Walkway. Amazing views, shops and the shop keepers and solicitors were not super pushy, surprisingly nice! Got to see so many whales on our way into the port and while walking along the ocean and storefronts. ...
Cant walk into town, must take a taxi or some other form of transport. It's always fun to wander the cobblestone streets and see all the stuff from the different vendors. A few nice restaurants with on the beach seating. If you pay by US Dollars, you will get your change back in Mexican Pesos. Pay by Credit cards, there is a 4% extra charge ( I assume its a credit card usage fee). ...
