Another port stop ruined by the horrible rain storms! We go there yearly however and love the area, the ambiance of the people, and the atmosphere.

We have been to this port many times and also spent a week here so we just walked around looking at where we stayed. We had a margarita at the restaurant near the dock and were disappointed. Then we had 2 (or was it 3?) strawberry margaritas at the bar that operates out of a kiosk type wagon that is inside the secure area by the ship. They were great and the bartender (Brenda) actually remembered us from our trip there last November. Read Less

We're very partial to PV, honeymooned here, and have a few land vacations in PV as well. Suggestion: Cut second day in Cabo, and have 2 days in PV instead.

We went to the zoo. We found a taxi driver for the day for $90+tip and went to the zoo in Mismaloya. We really liked the zoo. We feed all kinds of animals and got to pet some baby tigers. The one tiger did nip me in the arm and it did break the skin, but hey it's a tiger. I now can say I got bit by a tiger, how many people can say that. We spent several hours at the zoo. We then went downtown and shopped. Hector our driver took all my packages to the car for us as we shopped and showed us some of the sights along the way. We had a great day. Read Less

If I came back here, I'd do an excursion. The plan had been to just wander with my parents and my 17 month old son. There wasn't a lot around the boat, so we took a city bus (super cheap, I think like 20 pesos or something for all of us) downtown to where the shopping district was. Unfortunately everything was out of my price range (more name brand stores, jewellery etc. than little stalls where you could barter). For me, it wasn't worth it to go downtown. My husband however did scuba diving excursion through Carnival and would definitely recommend it. He had a great time on the private beach they went to, included lunch and free drinks (after the scuba diving of course), and liked the boat ride there and back. Read Less

Meh. Busy, not so pretty, but beers on the beach are cheap (if you ignore the vendors). Make sure you visit the Wal-Mart (yes!) across the street from the port - fun Mexican food, CHEAP tequila; you'll see all the cruise staff there.

We walked from the ship to Krystal. It's an easy walk down the beach from the terminal. There are several resort hotels that line that stretch of beach so we were never concerned about walking with our kids despite the present situation in Mexico. Krystal was very welcoming. We did not pay for a day pass. Just found ourselves a few lounge chairs, ordered drinks and food and swam all day. We did take advantage of the inexpensive massages they offer. Two 75-minute massages for $75. Wonderful!! Read Less

I don't know if you can bring it on the cruise ship. Read Less
