We talked to one of many tour guides greeting people coming off the ship. They offer city tours for $30 per person. We rode in a nice, air conditioned van and had a great time with our driver.

Puerto Vallarta was beautiful. Take a taxi past the tourist trap and your experience will be 100% better. It's a little exhausting telling every merchant no thank you.

We just walked around to the various shops. I like PVR as it seems to be one of the few ports that hasn't turned 100% American tourist.

Lots of shopping, sightseeing and $1.00 margaritas an delicious tapas in El Patron Restaurant. The river walk and old town add to the adventure. We taxied back to the Cruise Port (about $6). For those travelers who need some personal shopping there is even a Walmart across the street from the Cruise Port. Read Less

I got a big sunburn in Mazatlan so I strolled across the street to the WalMart and bought sunscreen lotion. Too Late! I then hired a cab to take me around town for two hours..

We were driven to the Downtown shopping area. It was enjoyable, however, I was feeling so horrible by this point I soon returned to the Ship to sleep.

Took a van for $4 each to the malecon. Walked to flea market. Ate at Pinocchio's Pizza. They offered two for one margaritas. Watched people put their feet into tanks with fish! Many performers on Malecon and great painting to be had. Cab back to pier for $10. The construction currently on going prevents easy access to the pier flea market and the Cantina. We didn't get there because of it. Read Less

Too changed over the years from a beautiful little town. Might as well just stop at Miami except for the overpriced tourist rubbish and cafes with loud brash tourists (not generally from the ship). We took the local bus from the port, 15 minute ride to 'new' walkway - so what's the point - just Americans filling the place. No charm - even though its been made to look older and cute. Get off the bus half way - see real part of town - and enjoy a great meal at a genuine Mexican restaurant. Follow the locals there !! Read Less

Victor was great. Don't be fooled by the silver prices at the silver factory way to high just go in pee and get free drink and leave.
