The guide lost 12 people from our group and we were not able to enjoy the tour fearing we would lose our guide and be left behind. We did not get off in all the stops b/c those who did half would be left behind

This was about 30 min bus ride out of town. We sampled 7 Tequilas. They did short us on tasting. Followed by a good taco lunch. we really enjoyed this. BTW our guide Jose, made this fun... he really knows his tequila.

We took a cab to the Malecon along the waterfront. It is a beautiful place, with giant sculptures, sandcastles, shops, restaurants, etc. and it is quite long. Very clean and the people are super friendly. We stopped at a restaurant (second floor open air seating) and had chips, guacamole made at the table, fish tacos and margaritas. It was lovely with a cooling breeze and the overlook onto the malecon and all the people enjoying the day. Read Less

We talked to one of many tour guides greeting people coming off the ship. They offer city tours for $30 per person. We rode in a nice, air conditioned van and had a great time with our driver.

Puerto Vallarta was beautiful. Take a taxi past the tourist trap and your experience will be 100% better. It's a little exhausting telling every merchant no thank you.

We just walked around to the various shops. I like PVR as it seems to be one of the few ports that hasn't turned 100% American tourist.

Lots of shopping, sightseeing and $1.00 margaritas an delicious tapas in El Patron Restaurant. The river walk and old town add to the adventure. We taxied back to the Cruise Port (about $6). For those travelers who need some personal shopping there is even a Walmart across the street from the Cruise Port. Read Less

I got a big sunburn in Mazatlan so I strolled across the street to the WalMart and bought sunscreen lotion. Too Late! I then hired a cab to take me around town for two hours..
