We did the Carnival whale and dolphin watching and snorkeling excursion. It was good; they were very accommodating offering drinks, food, and paddle boarding and kayaking, in addition to the snorkeling. We saw a few whales and snorkeled. Husband paddle boarded. We took the NCL Town, Country, and Tequila tour which was mainly a way for the tour company to take us to places where they would get kickbacks. The silver factory was a walk past about five silver smiths into a jewelry store where we spent about a half hour. Puerto Vallarta is an excellent port. No tendering is needed; you just walk off the ship. The cruise terminal is across the street from Walmart/Sam's Club and a Galleria shopping mall. I loved this port and I booked an excursion through Princess Cruise Lines. A boat ride to Yelapa, horseback riding, a hike to a water fall which many of the "old" people could not do which set us back time wise, a boat ride to a beach where we had a great lunch on the beach.
