Princess Cays is a beautiful beach with gorgeous water. We've never had problems finding a lounge in the shade. I recommend reserving your water floats in advance as they sell out the day of. We always stroll off property in the back to see what the local vendors have. This past trip we picked up an old license plate for our beach room at home. We never eat in the bbq area as we like to eat a big breakfast and then munch on pizza after our day on the beach. My only complaint about PC is the crowds. I like lounging around and reading a good book and at PC there are always people walking around you and I find it distracting. I also hate going into the water when there are 300 other people in the water in such close proximity. Read Less

Princess Cays is a nice stop. Unfortunately, due to the choppy waves, food and drink could not be brought in by the kitchen staff, so our stay on the island was quick and we got back on the ship.

Yoga on the beach in the morning was very cool. Food was nasty but that's not the island's fault. There are plenty of shaded loungers, so DON'T pay for the clam shell covering.

An average beach port. Nothing too great, nothing special. A lot of beach and a few over priced shops.

Two of our group disembarked that day and sunbathed on the beach. They indicated it was a very relaxing day. Also advised there was good food and drinks on the island as well as some shopping opportunities - didn't find they returned with anything however. There also was a lot of water sports equipment but like everything else, there was costs involved so they didn't bother to rent any.The only way to get to and from the island is by being ferried by ship boats. It seemed to run smoothly with no delays. They enjoyed the day but I can't comment further as we remained on board, out of the sun while relaxing...already had too much sun. Read Less

Princess Cays was beautiful, but bypassable. Just one more port for Princess. The Cattle Call to the BBQ was a funny touch, but I could have admired it from the boat just as easy.

Tip #1: bring your passport or ID with you (not just your cruise card) when coming to Princess Cays. You'll need it if you want to visit the little local shops just behind the "Princess Cays" area. Tip #2: the lunch was good but remember that it isn't open indefinitely. I think it closed around 1pm - so get it while the getting it good. We tendered to the port which wasn't a big deal. We snorkeled in front of the beach which was pretty good - not the best, not the worst of our trip. It rained on and off while we were there so that dampered the "beach day" that Princess Cays is supposed to be. We had reserved two kayaks but they cancelled all the water sports because the winds were quite high. They refunded everyone's money for the water sport reservations. It wasn't very warm at all, air or water - it isn't that far South. Probably my favorite thing we did was take a walk farther along the beach. I found lots of sand dollars - alive and dead - along in the tide pools. Overall it was fine, but due to the rain most everyone left early. Read Less

This port was unfortunately not a good one for us as by the time we arrived at our clam shell, it was raining. We decided not to eat the BarBeQue in the rain, so we headed back to the ship.

We found there were plenty of loungers available and the lunch was decent - ribs, hot dogs, burgers, chicken breast, cole slaw, corn salad, normal salad. It would have been nice for them to offer iced tea on the island though as the only free beverage was water. We also found out quickly that the Caribbean sun is very powerful, so don't forget sunscreen on your ears! Read Less

Princess Quay is a small private beach that belongs to the cruise line. You have to tender out to the island, so we waited till the crowds died down before going ashore. Its a nice beach and they serve a great barbecue buffet for free. I heard a lot of complaining from other passengers about this destination. It is what it is, and it is what is described in the brochure. Don't see why people don't take time to understand where they are paying to go. I found it restful, laid back and beautiful. Read Less

The last port was Princess Cays, which is in the south of the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas. This was a disappointment compared to the hype about the place. The sea was clear but cold compared to other beaches on the trip. The sea was full of coral rocks, so you need swim shoes to enjoy the water. There is nothing but the Princess resort that you can walk to and it is quite crowded in parts. My advice would be to hire a clamshell as they are located on the quieter parts of the beach. We booked a banana Boat ride, but the staff were the most miserable watersports people I have ever come across. I would not recommend it. If we went back we would probably book one of the tours of the island, as that would have been much more interesting than this pretty but rather dull beach.   Read Less
