39 Princess Cays Cruise Reviews

There are many beaches in florida, I did not need a port of call that stopped at a beach, so we stayed on the ship.

Princess Cays is a strip of beach with nice white sand. There are hundreds of lounge chairs with plenty of covered huts. The cruise line owns the beach so they profit from all activities you participate in. They have snorkeling. Bring your own equipment or skip the snorkeling as there is no coral and only a few fish to see. You need water shoes as you have to climb over rocks. The area is very small where you are allowed to snorkel. They charge $54.00 to rent the equipment, save your money and don't rent snorkel equipment here. The floats and aqua chairs are $9.00. The banana boat ride is $19.00. The windsurfing is $35.00 for 30 minutes and the equipment is low end quality. There is very little to see or do. They have a few stands selling straw hats and bags. I would recommend staying on the boat and not getting off and taking a 30 minute tender boat ride to the island. The lunch is not great and the food and entertainment back on the boat is much better. Take my money, Take my money, Take my money.Everywhere you turn, they are asking either for money or to take your picture. Everything was a bit pricey, I think they could have lowered the price or something, considering they dropped us there on a cold and rainy day. I ordered a Mai Tai and it not only came in a SMALL plastic see through cup, when I gave the guy my passcard, he didn't even say that the drink was not eligible for my drink program I was on. He just charged me 10.25 for this super small drink and because it cost over 10.00, my drink program wouldn't cover it. So I had to actually pay More for it.The ONLY reason this island exists it to funnel money into Princess.Won't be going back. Read Less

This might have been a nice stop and I was looking forward to it, however, due to the bad weather, the port was cancelled and we were forced to accept an additional day at sea without any adjustment in cruise fair or credit. An additional day at sea would not have been so bad had there been more to do on board. Read Less

Missed it again ! Due to what the Capt. called rough seas, yah right Capt. Many thought he did not want to subject his crew to a 3 rd "tender' on this cruise, kind of fishy we all thought !

This port didn't have much to offer to an older visitor. Other than the beach and a volleyball court there wasn't much to do.
