Disembarking the ship onto the small boat went smooth and we reached the shore of the Portugese Island safely. We took another tour to the Inhaca Island and walked around in the village and saw the poor community living there. The food prepared by the MSC on the Portugese Island was good and we enjoyed the water sports a lot. Embarking the ship again went quickly and the crue welcomed us back with an ice cold cloth to wipe our hands with which was very welcome at that stage. Read Less

The snorkeling was excellent although some of the gear was broken and not enough for everyone. There was nothing to drink when we got on shore because the bar was not ready for us even when we asked them nicely to help us because one of our friends was very sick. There was drinks but we where not allowed to buy jet. We waited for an hour before we left for the snorkeling and still nothing to drink.....when we finally got something to drink it was beer to buy but none of us drinks alcohol. The tour guide gave us LOCAL WATER to drink...it was bottled but we saw they where pouring it out of a well.... Read Less

My daughter loved meeting the King of Incaha Island and driving along the sand tracks in an old 4WD. Portuguese Island is really well set up by MSC.

We stuffed our faces with prawns and other seafood and then washed it down with R n' R's before heading back to the first island to float in the beautifully flat swimming pool like ocean and shopping and then back on the boat. The island itself is lovely with lots of activities arranged but the whole area need a lot more shaded areas in place. Unless you wanted to sit (terribly cramped with no leg room) under the thatch in a chair, the beach had no umbrellas provided for shade and it was very hot so shade was required. People going to the island are left to source an umbrella, a chair or a mat from the locals and the umbrellas they provide (at a cost) are insufficient for the African sun. Read Less

Will not do the Inhaca Island trip again - was dirty - water was murky and island was dirty. Locals harassed us and became rude when we did not accept them as tour guides.
