A truly remarkable city which was well beyond our expectations. Yes we would have liked longer but I would think it would have worn us out completely.

One of the highlights of the trip. We took the children on 2, 4 hour excursions with Celebrity. The first day we went to Peterhof (about 1 hour on the bus), with a tour of the gardens which were stunning and a little train ride which the children enjoyed. On the second day we did 'Panoramic St Petersburg' a hop on and off the bus tour around major sites. We had an excellent guide and children enjoyed that too. We negotiated prices of Russian Dolls at the markets and worked out cheaper than the 'formal' gift shops that we were taken too on coach. Note, they take Euro and Dollars no need for Roubles.
