Review for Norwegian Getaway to Mediterranean

There isn't too much to do in Patmos and rather than take the $100+ NCL tour pp, we took a taxi for 40 euros total and visited the monastery, church of the apocalypse and had some time to walk around on our own to see the windmills and cats! ...

At Patmos, our guide literally wrote the book. It was available for sale for €17. He took us for a very interesting walk through the mountain-top village as well as some other scenic locations on the island. He only spoke English, which was highlighted on the program and at the excursion presentations, but most of the participants were French, so those who could wound up translating. We ...

We did a great ship excursion with an excellent guide that included visits to the church in St. John's cave (where he wrote the book of Revelation), a visit to a local home and time at the St. John Monastery. We also had a lovely mezes (small dish) lunch with wine and greek dancing at a local restaurant. ...

Patmos was lovely. We took a taxi to a quiet, clean beach with a nice taverna for lunch. It was called Agriolivado. A round trip taxi was 30 euro, which was the same price for renting a car for the day, so we probably paid too much, but it was worth it! Lunch was delicious and we got chairs in a nice shady spot. The water was cool and clear. Skala had very nice shops and pretty views all ...
