We found a great deal with Adelman Travel which included a brief land tour of southern Germany and then a River Cruise on the Danube. We Started in Passau traveled to Budapest and then returned to Passau. There were no problems with navigation as the Amadeus Queen has a shallow draft. Number of stops on the Danube which included Melk and the Melk Abbey, Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava and Linz. ...

First time on River Cruise. Really appreciated the size and intimacy of a river cruise. Also, being able to walk off the ship right into town for serval of the ports/ cities along the Danube. We traveled with a group of 6 seasoned travelers, having decided to choose Scenic for their itinerary and their promised on board and off ship experiences.
First let me say their experiences and excursions were fantastic. Upon arrival, even at the very early hour we only waited for our room for about an hour, having traveled overnight.

We'd never done a river cruise (lots of ocean cruises) and my spouse and I both saw this in the Viking brochure and said 'let's do it."
The service was simply outstanding, from being greeted at the dock and checking in to checking out and leaving a week later. Staff was incredibly helpful and the city guides were incredibly knowledgeable. Even the weather cooperated for our trip.
