Very interesting to see where Julia Childs got her start cooking. Also the church where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake

Great overview of Paris, but, does not allow enough time to adequately explore.

For anyone that doesn't know, France pretty much closes on Mondays and that was the day we docked there. Many of the stores were closed but we were able to find a bakery that was open and bought two of the croissants. Oh they were good. My mouth is still watering. Make a point of seeing both the new and old Cathedrals. The architecture is so unique and different. The are revitalizing the waterfront so lots of lovely things to look at. We could have paid $20 US per person here to get a shuttle to the downtown and maybe we should have as the day here was much warmer and very sunny as compared to our other stops. The walk did us good though. Warning there are not a lot of public washrooms available. Read Less

Honfleur is beautiful and worth a visit. Approx 20 mins from Le Havre so easy to get to. We had four hours and that was sufficient. Harbour is cracking.

Although many negatives have been written about this city, we enjoyed just meandering around. We visited St. Joseph cathedral which was amazing. Ironically we were there on a Sunday and there was a marketplace open for shopping with MANY vendors. It was fun wandering through it and seeing all the different items, unusual to us Americans. We used the 16 Euro shuttle to get to town center and back. Read Less

We didn't take a cruise excursion here. We booked a Segway tour that I had booked directly with the company Mobilboard. It was a short walk into Le Havre town centre from the port (another busy industrial/freight/commercial/fishing port) with some nice sights along the walk. The Segway tour took us up to the beach (which is also within walking distance of the port) and across the town, which has some nice sightseeing points. Again I recommend researching in advance so you can organise your own activity here rather than spend 6 hours on a coach visiting Paris for a couple of hours! Read Less

We'd already been to Paris several times and also had seen Normandy so we played golf on the coast. Picuresque course but it was in rough shape. Rental clubs were crap. Had to arrange limo to the course as taxis were not dependable for return trip and car rental was going to be more expensive. Limo was $200 Euro for round trip. Rent car would have been more.
