We got a taxi there and arranged a time to be picked up and the driver was prompt. A lovely little town. We walked around and had a very good value meal. I would like to go for a weekend.

A nice place just to wander around if you don't want to go further afield. A shuttle was provided by the local tourist office at a cost of 4 euros, no extortionate MSC prices here!

Take time to discover this lovely town - we self guided to ST Joseph's Church, the Volcan, the botanical gardens and then beach. The tourist office ran a 4Euro shuttle which also included all buses and the tram system tickets. Great

Walked around Le Havre but didn't find much there. Luckily they were hosting a Tall ships race so there were events in the harbour and you could see the shipsso that was interesting. Caught a bus to Honfleur which was very easy to do 8 euros return pp. Just have to watch the times as there are not a lot of buses. Enjoyed Honfleur, very pretty with interesting shops and houses and an old harbour. Will definitely return to Normandy. Read Less

Took a city tour on my own. Not much to see here but the weather and the tour were nice enough.

This is way too far from Paris - 2.5 hours each way! We also weren't interested in Normandy, so we just took a taxi to the train station and then a 45min train to the little town of Rouen. The unusual Joan of Arc church was a highlight here, and the half-timbered buildings lining the old streets were interesting. Wish it hadn't been a Sunday as most of the shops and cafes were closed. There was a shuttle waiting to take passengers to town, but it's not free. They charge to your cruise account, I think it was $9 r/t.

We disembarked the ship here and hired Kiwi Taxi Service to transfer us to our Paris hotel. I would definitely hire Kiwi Taxi again. The vehicle was spacious and clean, the drive friendly and the price was reasonable.

We docked at 7:00 a.m. and were able to leave the ship around 7:10, I think. We proceeded to the train station - found a taxi for 2 Euro/person, which absolutely shocked me - and easily made it onto our 8:02 a.m. train to Paris. It was an uneventful ride, and then we took the metro to Trocadero and walked to the Eiffel Tower. Because of the crowds, that was about the only thing we were able to do, other than grab a quick lunch and make it back to the train station for the 3:50 p.m. train. But we managed to do all of that and breezed back on the ship. Others who had taken the ship's excursion were delayed in returning from Paris, so we sailled away a little late that evening as well. Wonderful countryside and town scenery all the time. Rouen is full of historic sights, magnificent cathedral and churches, Joan of Arc historic sights, good shops, lots of good restaurants, very French atmosphere.
