Very nice staterooms and bathroom.

Review for a France Cruise on Avalon Poetry II

The Avalon Poetry 2 is a very pretty smaller ship. The staterooms are very nice and the bathroom is the nicest of any cruise vessel I have been on. Everything is immaculately clean. The angling of the bed to look out the window is wonderful. The window opening to make the stateroom into a balcony is also very nice. The downside, is not being able to keep window or curtains open while docked ...

Would have preferred no Paris or Prague

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on Viking Odin

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary - Paris to Prague. However we did not read the itinerary carefully enough and "Paris" and "Prague" turned out to be only half day bus tours. That was very disappointing. Once there are paying for the trip, I was at least expecting a full day with some meals thrown in. The other bid disappointment about the cruise was how little time we had to ...

Itinerary, Shore Excursions, Embarkation, and Disembarkation A review has recently be posted for this sailing of the Rinda titled “Disappointment” by biscuit12. We were also disappointed by the change in docking from central Paris to La Pecq, which is a considerable distance from the city center. We had been notified almost 2 weeks prior to sailing by our travel agent of the change in ...

Not what I expected

I looked for a cruise to fill in a week at the end of another cruise with Avalon and found Croisi. I was aware that this cruise was a lot cheaper than most of the others I looked at but I should have researched a bit better. Cruise line is obviously for French speaking people, meals were set menus with no choice, seating was determined by staff at the beginning and that was your table for all ...

This was our first time on a Viking Cruise - The Cities of Lights tour that began in Paris and ended in Prague. Paris and Prague were wonderful, hotels very nice, and the visit to both cities was very enjoyable. The on board experience was great. Very attentive, competent and professional staff, the cabins were comfortable and the restaurant and food excellent. Our complaint is with reference to ...

Most nights we were docked back at Bordeaux. It's just a crazy cruise itinerary. Seeing the same place over and over was a tad boring. All of the bus trips took hours and hours to get to the area. By the time you got back to the ship, there was no time to do local walking except after dark. The tour guides on the bus would tell you to go to sleep because there was nothing to see on the way to the ...

MS RIVER VENTURE SEINE RIVER CRUISE PARIS (Conflans) to NORMANDY

This was our first River Cruise The boat was very nice. The crew was cordial and very nice. The food and presentation was very good as well. The bathrooms are larger than most ocean going cruise ships. However, we had a room in the back end of the ship and could not open the sliding glass door because of the engine fumes and other ships constantly parked alongside. We were most disappointed with ...

They cannot deliver all that they sell - poor value

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on AmaCello

Food is at best average - corporate menus with minimal creativity for chefs and local specialties. Dining room at less than full capacity was horribly over crowded - at full capacity many tables were so tight you had to ask the next table to pull in so an average size person could get out. Local wines average to poor. Entertainment - very very little - usually a keyboard artist playing the same ...
