Loved Pago Pago - the friendliest people out of all the ports we stopped at. Went on a tour run by Alofa tours and saw the western side of the island in one of the cool wooden buses.Good commentary throughout and they took us to the top of the mountain for some great views. Went to Sadie Thompson Inn (near Mcdonalds) where it nice and cool in the bar and free wifi. Read Less

To Sua Ocean Trench is wonderful! The island roads are terrible, but Samoa is a lovely island.

Just jump the local bus and go for a ride along the coastline, costs $1.00 each way per person and rub shoulders (literally) with the locals. It makes for a great and inexpensive way to see the island. Most of the locals speak English and ... Read More
