Review for Regatta to Transpacific

Recommend taking a $5 per person taxi to the US National Parks headquarters and then walking back to the ship. There is a food mart next to the ANZ bank with snacks. I recommend the Wesley bookstore across from the dock. Enjoyed talking to the local folks about what it is like to live in American Samoa. Really enjoyed this port! ...

Took a taxi ($5 per person) to the National Park headquarters in town. Purchased souvenirs (cash only) and got the rare Park stamp for this park. Then walked back to the port while stopping in several shops. There is a small grocery store near the ANZ bank and fire house. Also, shopped at the Wesley bookstore opposite the port. Enjoyed talking to folks about life here in American Samoa. ...

My husband and I decided to do an adventure by ourselves by walking around the town. A picturesque, tiny island with quaint, little stores, warm, welcoming, and friendly natives and inhabitants. The ocean is so clean, so clear, so inviting, so beautiful. A perfect vacation place to get away from stressful NYC metro. area. Because Samoa is an American territory, we felt safe there, so much so ...

Loved Pago Pago - the friendliest people out of all the ports we stopped at. Went on a tour run by Alofa tours and saw the western side of the island in one of the cool wooden buses.Good commentary throughout and they took us to the top of the mountain for some great views. Went to Sadie Thompson Inn (near Mcdonalds) where it nice and cool in the bar and free wifi. ...

First ever being there without any prior knowledge. Took "VJ's" tour bus (randomly selected from the port) to see the east end of American Samoa for $25/pp. Family run. Awesome tour with lots of cultural information. She even stopped at her own home. Highly recommended. Even though it appears American Samoa is dirt poor, it's a cultural and lifestyle difference. So eye-opening this ...
