Olso is a pleasant city with mostly 19th century classical and eclectic architecture so not highly historical. Instead you should go to the Folk Museum and Viking boat museum on a pretty island. This is the place to visit first (then if you have time see the city). You can take a ferry there. Our ship docked fairly close to the center so we could walk without problem. ...
