A stunning port of call. Beautiful scenery. Due to the weather we decided to walk up to the glacier as the cable car was covered in cloud. We booked this in the office next door to where the ship had docked. We shared a private taxi with 4 others and taken to the start of the walk and told what time he would be back to collect us. The walk took around 1 hour or so (I stopped to take lots of ...

No excursion booked. A really beautiful port where you can wander out on your own. My daughter did a local tour to a glacier which would have cost over £40 on the ship but she paid just £7.00. There are many bexcursiins to do in the port without paying p & o pruces ...

Seeing a glacier is a must and the trip to the Brikstal glacier was really good. We all walked up to the glacier, about 4 km I think. You can ride up on a troll bus but walking is much more fun. The scenery is stunning and the waterfalls in places shower you with spray. ...

Not knowing much about this place I booked a ship's tour to Briksdal glacier, selecting the option of taking troll cars (like a 6 seater golf buggy) to the glacier rather than the 90 min hike. This time the weather was gorgeous and the coach took us past stunning mountain scenery in an amazing light. the morning reflections on the lake as we set off were just fantastic. We had a photo stop by a ...

We booked an excursion through P&O. It was truly outstanding — the best on the cruise. Our extremely experienced guide was just excellent. We were bused to and from a lake called Lovatnet, with several stops on both the outbound and return journeys, including views of the Kjenndalen Glacier. Boat ride from one end of the lake to the other was just fantastic — what views! At the end of the boat ...

We did take a excursion which we went to Flam to get onto the cable car to the top of a mountain which gave us great view of the area. We also travel to see a glacier along this narrow and winding road. The town is very small as we walk around. ...
