Get out of the central town as soon as possible which is fairly grotty and head for the beaches which are a lot more pleasant. The local buses leave from the Place des Cocotiers in the centre of town and at a flat rate of a little over AUD2 are much cheaper than any of the tourist buses. ...

Very expensive . Very surprised at the litter and graffiti in Noumea including all the tourist Reas, very surprised the govt have not cleaned these areas up.
