New England Cruise on the Anthem

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

The anthem is beautiful ship and we went to some great ports. We had a ocean view cabin on deck 3, it was a very nice room and close to the promenade and theater. My biggest problem was that there were but way TOO MANY PEOPLE - you had to reserve everything - the main shows, the buffet at night, the anytime dining rooms Or you had to wait - the 14 deck open buffet wait was 1 to 2 hrs - ...

NOT FOR TODDLERS!

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

Overall, I want to state that I was very happy with the cruise... the itineraries each day, the food, the service, etc. However, my husband and I traveled with our 1.5 year old daughter, and were very disappointed that there were very limited things for us to do with her. It is understandable that we may not be able to attend shows and events with her. However, we did not expect that she would not ...

Destination Change/Hurricane

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

We chose this cruise due to its destination: Bermuda. However, the destination was changed due to the weather/hurricane. The alternate destinations to Portland and Halifax were logical but the amount of time at two ports were insufficient to enjoy more leisure time at each city. The ability to get off and on the ship was good, particularly when getting back to disembark and clear customs was ...

Sorry to say, our Vision OTS cruise was a disappointment!

This was our 33rd cruise and 7th on a RCCL ship. The ship was fine, very clean and in nice condition. The service however has dropped radically in several areas. Our room attendant was seldom available and actually "forgot" about making up our room one night! We had asked to always have ice in the room and requested wine glasses and a wine cooler bucket. We did get ice on the 2nd day, ...

Overcrowded and cutting corners on your cruise. Very unorganized. Hard Beds.

I like to try out different cruise lines at this point and so I decided after being on Norwegian and Celebrity, I will try Royal Caribbean. Since Royal is a sister company to Celebrity, I thought the experience would be similar but with a port closer to home. Boy was I wrong! Our baggage was taken curbside and were told that our baggage would be in our room in two hours. Well, that sounded ...

Anthem of the Seas - worst service ever

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

I have been on roughly 15 cruises. It is our favorite way to travel. We normally travel with Princess but occasionally like to go on the newest ships and check them out. We know Royal Caribbean has the best ships! Our service received during this cruise was the absolute WORST we have ever experienced on a cruise. Our room was so noisy as it was right next to a crew locker/storage. It kept us ...

Big, crowded ship with small public areas

We chose the cruise because we had been on the same itinerary with Princess a few years ago and loved it. We are diamond members on Royal Caribbean and thought we would give the new Quantum class ships a try. We had cabin 10309, large interior with virtual balcony. The virtual balcony was cool, the bed very lumpy, the bathroom had a nice shower but took up the limited space of the cruise ship ...

Worst Cruise I have EVER been on

We chose this cruise for the destination and the dates. The ship was huge and had too many people on it especially at the pool. The pools were small and also filled with kids. Not that I don't like kids (I have kids too) but it was not a relaxing boat. The reason for this review is dietary. I am medically gluten free and they were notified beforehand and I followed all the same measures I do on ...

Awful customer service, internet and food, beautiful ship but too big.

On this ship as I write this review. Incredibly frustrating week and I tried to avoid writing negative review but i can't wait any more. 1st thing, this is our 2nd cruise with the 1st being on Norwegian Gem. No contest in that the Gem was a better experience, period. Now, some pros about the Anthem of the Seas: 1. Beautiful ship that dwarfs others. 2. Being 3 years old everything still ...

Anthem of the Seas - Not what we expected the 2nd time!

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

As the title states, this is our 2nd time on this ship and it disappointed. Last summer we did the same trip and it was great, from the food to service. This year, all that was "gone". The boarding went well and was better than last year, but that was all. We had (2) rooms this year due to fact that my son's joined us on this trip. They had an interior with Virtual Balcony which was perfect ...
