This was a family cruise with my daughter, son in law, and 4 year old granddaughter, who stayed in the adjacent room no. 8 204. It was supposed to have taken place this past December, but my granddaughter test positive for Covid and RCI refunded all of the fare with our any hassle. We chose this cruise because it departs from Brooklyn. We live in Long Island and this was a no-fly cruise. The ...

So I booked this cruise for 3 cabins for a total party of 11 people. The boat is nice and seems to be well kept. The food was good and the staff in the dining room was great. They seemed to have a pretty decent handle on the covid thing and they had "guards" lol waiting at the buffet to ensure people washed their hands. Cabins were clean and nice. The ice skating show was incredible! The other ...

Aqua class failed us

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Celebrity Summit

We had not been to Bermuda in years, so this was appealing to us. After being Diamond + on RC, we have started to lean to Celebrity after sailing The Edge. We are casino members and our casino host was delighted to book us into the Aqua Class. Although we were excited, we quickly became disappointed. Aqua class may be the top of the cake, but certainly not on the Summit. Rooms were small and ...

Celebrity Summit 6-2-22 Our adventure on the Celebrity Summit sailing of June 2, 2022 actually begins back in 2019 when we booked the “Charleston / Bermuda” cruise for 2020. That was canceled and it was rebooked for 2021, which was also canceled and then rebooked for 2022. Then Bermuda put it's covid protocols into place which in turn caused Celebrity to change the itinerary to visit Bermuda ...

I will start by saying we had a good time. A lot of that had to do with simply being on vacation, cruising again and having people caterer to you. However, there were so many issues that make me question whether we had bad luck or RC is cutting costs everywhere. First, embarkation was a disaster. We were told the system was "down". People were standing outside for hours (11-2:30~ish). Systems ...

Had Cruise credits to burn based on previous cruise bad experiences and cancellations... Embarcation at Bayonne was tedious.. Previous embarcations had special considerations for Captains Club Membership... Not this time.... Only Suites were given special attention. We were taken out of the cue because I was riding a mobility scooter and given extra attention because of that.. Covid ...

We’re supposed to go on anthem in January but canceled because of Covid-19. Fully vaccinated and boosted but concerned about cases onboard and supposed to be 150 quarantine cases onboard many masks by cruise end. Ship was 2,400 onboard many fun active passengers dancing opportunities were well attended. Too little day opportunities though. Too much karaoke, boring unless you drink too much and ...

First cruise post covid19 and great group of fellow passengers! Many different ages. We’re age 65 plus and love to dance and enjoy Zumba line dancing theme parties etc. Enjoyed the chances we had but RCL seems to be cutting back on that stuff. RCL had so much karaoke. Great for whoever enjoyed it. B Bermuda forms were a mess. Had to get to airport for testing as testing results didn’t come in ...

Cruise itself was good but the pre and post cruise were (and still are) a disaster

First the bad: to go to Bermuda we needed a travel authorization. Bermuda had the wrong date for our cruise and I had to call into Celebrity and get it corrected. Next, Bermuda was supposed to be our third port but apparently no one at Celebrity read that if Bermuda isn't your first port, you need to be re-tested for COVID. So I personally had to inform them and they changed the order of the ports ...

This was my second time on Royal and first with whole family. We were able to afford it because it was out of Bayonne, NJ so no airfare. Embarkation - great - this port was easy to get into - drove right up, dropped off bags, drove maybe 100 yards to secure parking deck that I think is only for those cruising. Was able to walk right to check in early than the planned time. Cabin - had a ...
