Very Large Ship!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

My overall experience with this ship is that its a larger than usual ship, gorgeous but very confusing. Decks 4 and 5 are sectioned leaving very little space for "daily sales" bartenders used to be mostly people from the caribbean, now I'm guessing that to be more inclusive, they are lacking charisma and are like robots! no engagement with the passengers. Pool activities are a bit boring and ...

My husband and I stayed in the Ramada by the airport and got a shuttle to the port in Bayonne; Park and cruise packages are wonderful and this was the best as the hotel had a lift on it so we didn't have to take apart my scooter! We were thrilled with the cabin and the virtual balcony; we always get an indoor cabin to save money and the virtual balcony was a wonderful treat! Looked almost ...

This was our fourth cruise all with Royal Caribbean, the Anthem is a beautiful ship, loved our balcony stateroom and our attendant was fantastic, ripcord was fun as well as the bumper cars, shows were good (except spectra cabaret not my style). I feel 4,200 people is just to many for this ship and it showed in the main dinning and windjammer areas. In the wind jammer you were constantly bumping ...

Staff need to address 'saving of chairs at pool" Food need more variety and attention to ' food temperatures" and dryness of FISH. More entertainment on sea days,or more TRIVIA more inside movies throughout the cruise ,instead of out by the pool. You need more staff for your larger cruise ships, it is difficult to find staff, You need more activities other than shopping. We like my ...

To say we did not have a good time would be wrong.but many bumps to get to that. Shore excursion was 30 minutes late to start. Waiting in hot,hot sun to listen to staff complain about the tardiness after waiting was not fun. Came back to room to find someone turned out tv to spanish and our bed was messed? To find out they did a schedule repair to many stateroom bathrooms and could not use shower ...

chose Anthem for new activites; thought one time zipline on private island too pricey; suggest movies shown on outdoor big screen simultaneously shown on rctv station in staterooms as a matter of convenience & weather conditions. had significant difficulty with charges using RC credit card; first day charged spa services & by day 2 were thwarted by credit card limit. believe that gratuities ...

Overall, we had a fine trip. It was not great, and it should have been. All of our issues were with service, activities onboard, and food. First night we ate in Chop's Grille. We had reservations for 9pm, stopped by at 6 to see if we could make them earlier (for 7 - we were wearing jeans and t-shirts and wanted to rinse off and change) - we were told to come right in. That's great, but we did ...

I was in a royal family suite, so we had access to costal kitchen for breakfast, lunch and dinners. The service was very slow and by the weeks end they sill didn't know I wanted ice tea for dinner drink ( which was the same every evening). The entertainment was ok. The problem is there was not enough to keep me awake till the DJ wold start till 12:30, sometimes 1am. This cruise ship is truly ...

We chose this cruise because we wanted to experience the Quantum line. Well, this ship did not give you the Royal Caribbean experience. From the food to some of the staff to the ship rocking so hard you have to hold on when you are going down the hall, not a very enjoyable experience. This review is not about Royal Caribbean per se but this particular ship. I would like to say that our ...

This was the 6th cruise that I had been on with my wife, the third with Royal Caribbean. We purchased the trip due to the itinerary. Our first impressions were good, especially as we got an upgrade due to the problem with the downpipe outside out inside cabin making a really loud noise every time the toilets were flushed in the deck upstairs. We were upgraded to a balcony on deck 6, with an ...
