Excellent cruise for the Caribbean

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

We took the cruise for our honeymoon, the experience was above our expectations. We had the haven experience and it made the difference, we highly recommend it, since it truly enhances the cruise culinary experience. About the ports, in Faremont Jamaica and in Roatan Honduras there isn’t much to do outside of the port if you decide not to take a tour, and the tendering process can be a little ...

Excellent food, service, cleanliness, activities

We chose this cruise because of its 5 day duration, lower flight prices to new orleans, and vegetarian food reviews. It turned out to beat our expectations. Vegetarian food variety and quality was really good. Activities were numerous and well organized. Our balcony room was nice even though the ship is older but that didnt bother us. Service all over was excellent, with the nicest staff on ...

Entertainment is an interesting historian and an excellent musician. All the typical choices at breakfast along with a fresh fruit buffet, 3 main choices for lunch or dinner. The food was good, better than the larger cruise lines, just less choices. House wine was Woodbridge, so you might want to bring your own or buy. The staff was always helpful, cheerful, and really wanted you to ...

Simple pleasures on first cruise in years!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Valor

This cruise was a whim of a moment, for myself and my friend, no kids. I had called Vacations To Go, and got a very nice price for a balcony cabin, on the 4 night cruise out of New Orleans to Cozumel and back. I was also familiar with Carnival and their port there, since my only other cruise was based there. My friend had not been on any cruise; it was my 2nd one. We both enjoyed it ...

This was our 26th cruise with Carnival and our most recent two cruises before this one left us considering another cruise line. We decided to try one more cruise on the Valor and I'm happy to say Carnival has redeemed itself. Boarding was almost effortless at the New Orleans post. We were on the ship 15 minutes after parking our car. We were greeted onto the ship by smiling faces, the first ...

Carnival is always a winner when picking a cruise. Our steward Timur on the 8th floor middle seem to know what we needed each day and was always pleasant as was his helper Maricel. They were always smiling and willing to do whatever we needed without any question. Probably the best ones we have had. The ship decor is my least favorite of the ships we have been on, it seemed dark, with all the ...

Review for a U.S.A. Cruise on American Queen

This was our second river cruise - the first was a few years ago down the Danube in August. The American Queen is a very special ship, not only because of the beautiful furnishings, collectibles and artwork which is abundant, but because of the paddlewheel. Its power is ever present, and is mesmerizing. Visits to the engine room are encouraged. We cruised from New Orleans to Memphis. The ...

Cruise: Carnival Valor, 2019-09-09, from New Orleans Summary: not quite a five star cruise, let's call it four and a half. The good things were great, while the worst were merely mediocre. Us: 60+ retired folks who cruise often. We like New Orleans because it's a day's drive from home. We've been to Cozumel and Progreso many times, and plan to go again. Pre-cruise: we enjoy French ...

Great experience from beginning to end. Kevin the cruise director was awesome! The cabin steward, Oakley was most gracious in the hospitality he showed me. The dining staff was excellent too! Anthony and Trolick were amazing attending to my my every need. The spa experience was very relaxing. The entertainment was over the top as well. Cadenza and the Brass trio were stellar.
