We're in our late 30's. This was our 3rd cruise and our 2nd or Norwegian. Our first cruise post covid. We chose this cruise due to price and that it left out of New Orleans - which is one of our favorite cities. Summary of our trip is we had a great time, you can tell Norwegian is having the same issues that everyone else in the world is with staffing and finances and we decided to make the ...

Some of the Carnival workers at the port in New Orleans were very rude and were actually yelling loudly at us and other people that we spoke to had the same experience. We travelled with friends and they actually yelled loudly at them because the wife was holding both documents in her hand. They also told them to step out of line because of it. They sent me and my husband to another line as we had ...

NOLA is the most convenient port for us to leave from. We have done this cruise many times. This time I enjoyed my fellow cruisers more than any other time. So talented that we stayed at karaoke night after night over the entertainment staff. Seriously, record execs should have been there ready to sign some truly gifted singers! I’ve never heard such talent at karaoke before. Staff was ...

Good Cruise, but Viking has work to do

Review for a North America River Cruise on Viking Mississippi

We have wanted to do a cruise of the Mississippi River for many years. With the launch of the new Viking Mississippi, we decided to take a roundtrip New Orleans cruise, leaving January 7, 2023. Our overall result was a very relaxing week cruise on the mighty, muddy Mississippi and some acquired knowledge of the region. We understand that Viking made a huge investment in this ship, which was ...

TLDR: It looks like cruising is back to pre-covid standards - more or less. Embarkation: New Orleans is always a nightmare getting to the port. I realize this isn't under Carnival's direct control, but it seems like they'd have some power to get New Orleans to figure out some way to get this organized better. But once inside the terminal, things went smoothly and quickly. Food: Food ...

Overall, had a great time. Frequent Norwegian cruisers but choose Carnival based on exact sailing date and location. Carnival better than Norwegian - Embarkation: Fast, easy, and on ship less than 15 minutes. Keys waiting at room. no waiting in lines, giving credit card, checking in with passports ect - Bar service: No waits, even at pools - Dining service: Server knew our ...

We have done several NCL cruises including Breakaway. We have never sailed in December but had credit that would expire so this fit our work/school schedules. First, the terminal at Port of New Orleans is kind of a mess. Glad we had been before as we saw many confused & lost groups. Time for NCL to pony up some money here for improvements. We stayed nearby for one night before then walked to ...

We were given this cruise as top 50 players in our local casino. It was a very easy process from start to finish. We were given a club suite balcony room deck 13 (13196). The room was great except there were no outlets near the bedside which was strange and annoying as I tripped over cords all night. The balcony was small but it worked for late night views of outside and fresh air. The TV was also ...

Some contexts of our cruising experiences in the past. My wife and I have gone on 25 + cruises over 43 years. Our first five and last five on NCL. As time has gone on, we have wanted more of our Cruising Experience. We started with the most inexpensive inside cabin during our honeymoon 43 years ago. Five years ago, we found the NCL Haven and loved it. The Haven Premium was a bit to much for ...
