DO NOT believe the negative people here, unless you're one of 'em

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Valor

I am only writing this review to counter some of the "everything was terrible" people here. I sadly read a LOT of those reviews on everything from restaurants to movies to everything in between, and I honestly believe people enjoy complaining more than just relaxing and enjoying whatever activity they are involved in. Sad, but I guess that's the new world we live in. As for the cruise, we ...

I chose this cruise because friends had booked it based on advice from AAA. I didn’t expect much but was so very happy. I call it a “fun-size” ship because I have only traveled on large ocean cruisers before. It was cute & cozy, very comfortable and up-to-date. I stayed in the owners suite. Friends stayed in th AAC double cabin as well as a single cabin. All were located on Deck 3. All were very ...

We had never sailed out of New Orleans before - was a fast an easy process. Not much standing in line here. Our bags were already at our cabin when we arrived on board at 1:30pm. We had interior cabin 6245 - typical Carnival layout and furnishings, efficient and clean. Room stewards were amazing. During the evening shows in the theater we would get some noise in our cabin but given we were ...

Great Cruise!

We had a great time aboard the Carnival Valor! The ship was very clean and the service was excellent. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. There were tons of activities for everyone to enjoy. The ship was full, but did not feel overwhelming. The food lines could become long at peak times, but the staff worked hard to get everyone through quickly. The Carnival Hub app worked great for ...

A great vacation - crowded sometimes since it was sold out

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

We chose this cruise so that we could see New Orleans and experience Mardi Gras on the same vacation. Two couples travelling together, with 2 cabins a few doors apart. We arrived in New Orleans the day before the cruise and stayed at an airport hotel since it was about US$200 less expensive than staying downtown near the cruise port. We arranged a shuttle to the cruise port when we arrived at ...

We enjoyed the entire experience on the Valor. The food was good. The cabin service was Awesome, friendly and helpful. Our cabin steward Richard was great. Our excursion in Cozumel on the Twister boat ride to Passion Island was awesome. Over all the cruise was great and I would defiantly recommend Carnival (Valor) to to everyone. We bought the cheers package. The ship had all you can eat buffet, ...

Great "Break" on the Breakaway!

We arrived early to New Orleans (Friday afternoon). Since we were up at an ungodly hour for our early morning flight, we ended up going to Mulates cajun restaurant for a late lunch/early dinner. They were closed when we were there last year because the Nicholas Cage movie Renfield was being filmed there. I highly recommend it. The food was great. We split a fried alligator appetizer, I had ...

The stateroom was very clean and tidy, with plenty of storage space and room to move. There was always a lot to do, and you will never be bored. The service was outstanding, with crew waiting on your every need. I loved the water slides, and there were five which are more than most cruise ships. Two even had loops! They also had an incredibly large, super fun ropes course complete with zip lines! ...

First Post-Covid Sail!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

This was our first cruise post-pandemic after three long years. Interestingly enough, Breakaway was our last sailing pre-covid. This was i believe our 5th, maybe 6th time on this ship (i could read my own signature to figure this out). We set sail from New Orleans. We stayed for 2 nights prior at the AC Hotel on Carondelet. You can hope the green trolley right out front and take it a few ...

Amazing experience

This was our first cruise and the experience was more than expected. Everything was so easy, from boarding to disembarkation. I don’t even know where to begin. Zack the cruise director was awesome (funny, witty, welcoming)….he totally needs his own show! Lady Ocean (Fun Squad member) treated everyone like they were part of HER family! Absolutely loved her. The cleanliness of this ship was ...
