Sand and Sea was lovely. Local markets and local people making hats from plants to give to the people on the cruise. Beautiful place did not want to leave it

I love the Isle of Pines this is a tender island of beautiful warm blue sea and lovely soft sand. I was a bit disappointed as the locals weren't in charge of the stalls. There is now only 1 stall that is manned by locals and that is away from the others and has the most clothing at it. There is a restaurant on the island but the prices are more like mainland prices. A tendered port at a beautiful place....we walked around the bay where there is a resort and swam at the beach there, walked around the rockpools. You are able to buy food and drinks at the resort but they are a little expensive. We usually take a snack and drink from the ship and wait to eat until we reboard. However the tender operation was slow and poor on the Carnival spirit with little information provided as to waiting times for each tender. Read Less

This place is gorgeous, the water, the beaches and the resorts that we saw were all beautiful. We just went swimming and it was amazing. The cost to use facilities is $2.00 at one place, but managed to find a free toilet on the front beach, where there was a shop and restaurant. We purchased some souvenirs there. Would go back there and stay at one of the resorts. Read Less

A highlight of my whole cruise. I loved the snorkelling! At first we snorkelled to the left of the big rock but the water was murky although there was plenty of fish. It was also very crowded and you would occasionally cop a flipper to the head! We were told there was better snorkelling near the resort further along the beach, and this proved true. It was breathtaking! The coral...the huge variety of tropical fish and even cuttlefish! The isle itself is a tropical paradise and there are places to buy souvenirs etc. Read Less

If you are happy sitting in the beach, swimming if snorkelling, this is a great place. Talcum powder sand. Beautiful clear water. A number of "market" type stalls to buy souviners.

Tendered direct from the ship, quick and easy, takes 10 mins, beautiful beaches, clear waters and soft sand, lovely. Few small markets also for gifts and souvenirs if that takes your fancy too.

Spectacular. We travelled with Sam to Oro Bay and snorkelled in the Natural Aquarium. Once we returned we just relaxed near the tender area, swimming and looking through the markets

Stunning island. We went to the natural aquarium and snorkelled. This is spectacular with plenty of colourful fish. Spent the rest of the day relaxing on the beach or browsing the markets.

Isle of Pines - taking advice of other reviewers we got off the tender and walked to one of the waiting tour guides/buses. $20ea/$10kids and he took us to the ‘Natural Aquarium’. 15min drive and he drops you off at the entrance, then $15ea entry fee. It’s a 5min walk down to the water, (maybe we got high tide?) 15min walk through clear waters above our knees (wear reef shoes). But then it comes out to clear blue amazing water with a small reef. A few mozzies during the walk. The driver came back in 2hrs for us. Quite shallow so great for kids, and no current till you get out past the reef a little. When you come back there are a few little market stalls, and food stalls. Everyone takes AUD$. Read Less

We love the Isle of Pines. It is our favourite destination in the south Pacific. We have been there several times so we don't do an excursion. The beautiful weather enabled us to take a swim at the pristine beach. Other guests swam in the lagoon side and snorkelled amoungst the coral and fish. This port is still reasonably uncomplicated and has not been ruined by being populated with traders selling overpriced souvenirs. We have noticed this in other ports after returning years later.
