I dislike going to the Bahamas but due to the change of ports due to the hurricane's we had no choice. The people there are so rude and only care about making a buck. Nothing special to see, too many shops with the same over-priced items and the area is dirty. ...
Nassau was very disappointing. Dirty city, locals screaming at you for tours, old sad looking horses. We finally took a cab to Atlantis and walked around indoors near the aquarium from some huge hotel to the other. Lots of shops. The aquarium charges $48 bucks to enter, so we decided to go onto the public beach. Again, we were harassed by locals so badly that we decided to just go back on the ...
There are some interesting museums and shops to visit in Nassau. All we did was wonder, visit museums and the Anglican Cathedral, and find an Ice Cream Shop. Wonderful! ...
We have been to Nassau many times. My husband likes the brewery that is near the port. Visit the "conch man". He has a very run down boat that is parked next to the pier. He will make you a fresh conch salad on the bow of his boat....so good..the best we have ever had in the Bahamas. Don't go by the looks of the boat or the conch man!!! It is so good. Just ask anybody near the port and they will ...

Had a great time in Nassau. Did not do an excursion. We went ashore and walked around the town. Bought some knock off handbags, went to the Pirate Museum and walked up the hill to Watling Distillery. .Highly recommend going to both places. Found a great little craft brewery right in town and sampled some great beer, and the conch fritters were awesome! ...
One thing I love about cruising is the exploring the culture. That's what I appreciate about Nassau. I love the people and straw market. We went to Junkanoo Beach, which has cleaned up over the years. ...
