Hated it. Filthy place, placed itemised on the itinerary not even visible (through those trees). We spent most of the 4 hours+ in traffic jams.

Very crowded, oppressive, depressing. I'm glad I saw it but wouldn't rush to go back. High point was Ghandi's house. Low point was Dhobi Gat.

The markets were interesting but we found the people, especially the taxi drivers, pests and unhelpful. We had been there before and I really would not have returned had it not been a stop. Read Less

took a Heritage walking tour - though most of it was by coach , lovely colonial buildings, and a feel for city.

Due to the heavy traffic in Mumbai, a short trip is not sufficient to see the City. I wish we have one more day in Mumbai to see the place. Please be advise the cost of visa to india is too expense for half day tour.

Extensive security checks. Men separated from the ladies, who each get to go into a dressing room type area to get an extra pat down, even after going through the standard detector. I get it, but after a long day of hot travel...

Our guide's accent was quite strong, which mixed with a very poor sound system (which she had reported to the tour company previously) made her comments unclear after about the sixth row of the bust.

We had been to India before and therefore knew what to expect. We did a 5 hour coach trip from the ship. This took in a Jain temple (interesting), Gandhi's house which was awful as there were about 300 people trying to walk round a very small building. Could not wait to get out of the place and they had allowed 3/4 hour for this stop. Most people were bored waiting for their coach. The most interesting things to see were the Gateway of India and the Dhobi Ghat laundry. The least interesting thing to see was the handing gardens. You could easily have left these out and reduced the trip by a good half and hour. The guide was very informative. Read Less

The city is crowded and dirty, but that's India. Lots of interesting architecture, the outdoor laundries, and Elephanta Island.

Lovely driver and guide. Went to the biggest outdoor laundry. Did some shopping. Visited Jain Temple... lots of beggars in the city itself, very sad.
