Ok, first time giving a review but wanted people to know not to believe all the bad reviews for MSC.We have cruised more than 35 times on almost every cruise line. We decided to try our luck with MSC because of the price expecting the worst. What a surprise - turned out to be one of our best cruises! Embarking & disembark-super fast and easy- staff were great food was pretty darn good- dining ...

Run down of my experience

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Scarlet Lady

User Avatar

This was my second cruise, but first with Virgin voyages. Loved the overall experience and vibes on this ship. Food wasn’t the greatest, far as selections to choose from and taste wise. Some of the choices were a bit on the dry side. I didn’t like having to keep track of my bar tab for drinks, to keep track of what I had left. I purchased $850 total in bar tab, this included bonus bar tab, too. ...

Virgin is a wonderful cruise experience! The food is amazing and the entertainment is top notch! Cabins are spotless and the entire ship is clean and well maintained. The crew is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. This was my second cruise on Scarlet Lady. I came back because I loved it so much.BUT…. I was so disappointed that the seamless embarkation process was gone this time around. Our ...

MSC is different, but that's not a bad thing

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Divina

The wife and I took our 10th anniversary cruise (and first cruise ever) on the MSC Divina. We were originally going to try Virgin, as the kiddos were staying home with the grands for this one, but by the time we booked Scarlet Lady was full. MSC caught our attention from YouTube and online research. The price point was hard to beat and we weren't looking for a megaship for our first time out so ...

Although it was an older ship, we would recommend

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Conquest

The ship is one of the older ones, I believe it was built in 2002. The outside shows the age, but has been updated very nicely inside. The entire ship was very clean and nicely maintained. The rooms are exceptionally clean and spacious with comfortable beds. We had a suite with a balcony and it was a perfect size for the three of us. It had a king size bed, or you could request two twins, and a ...

A millennials love/hate relationship with Oceania.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Oceania Vista

Let me give you all some background so you understand the perspective we are coming from. My husband I are both millennials and have almost exclusively sailed on the so-called “ultra-luxury” lines, i.e. Regent, Silversea, Crystal and Seabourn as we prefer the small ship experience. Since childhood, my husband had always wanted to take a transatlantic cruise. Thanks to the fact that ships are ...

Fun ship with an enthusiastic crew.

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Freedom of the Seas

Enjoyed our Mother-Daughter cruise. Our goal was a beach-focused cruise for 22 year old and 56 year old. We’re both experienced cruisers and have sailed Royal before as it was our family’s choice for family cruising when daughter was younger. Recently husband and I have moved back to Celebrity so i couldn’t help but view this cruise through that lens. The good: Staff was enthusiastic and ...

New to Seabourn but not to cruise travel

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seabourn Quest

DW and I have been on dozens of cruises over the past 40+ years and now that we are retired and blessed to afford more luxury travel options, we have started trying out the luxury cruise lines starting with Seabourn. We booked the Quest transatlantic crossing from Miami to Las Palmas sailing on March 24. We booked with our preferred travel agent into a Verandah Suite and in December we accepted ...

Amazing ship with a few challenges

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Icon of the Seas

Overall this is an absolutely amazing ship..leaps and bounds ahead of anything else in the RCL, NCL, or Carnival lines. We are two late-twenty/early-thirty childless females who have been on 20+ cruises and this is by far our favorite ship. It truly is unlike any other and feels like every inch of the ship was considered. We were told this sailing was one of the first at full capacity and, save ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Independence of the Seas

I am Diamond with RCCL and have enjoyed many cruises with them and other Lines. My cruise with Independence of the Seas was uneventful in that everything was pretty much what I have come to expect and enjoy with RCCL. here are some thoughts: High lights the assistant cruise director from the Philippines was hilarious and ran the game and contests in an outstanding fashion - we has a show ...
