Explorer is headed for a much needed face lift in April 2020, so one cannot judge the ship by its current condition - this class of ship is our favorite, big enough to have all the amenities but not overly huge like the Oasis class.
Sub par weather for first three days dampened the beginning of the cruise but the ABC islands are lovely and we enjoyed good weather for final ...
We had a group of 31 and the intent was for a party atmosphere and fun at sea, this was achieved. You will find this is a very very casual ship. If your your looking for opulence and serenity you may want to consider another ship or cruise line. I’m not a big complainer especially at this price point however these are a few experiences that I found disappointing. The main dining room food was poor ...
MSC Armonia review
Each person that cruises will have their own set of criteria for evaluating a cruise. Complaints by some are rejected by others. I accept that. Having been fortunate enough to have traveled on many cruises across several cruise lines, I will do my best to be objective.
Overall MSC is a very successful company for cargo transport that has expanded into the passenger cruise ...
I am an NCL loyalist and have been on 6 other NCL cruises. I’ve also cruised with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Princess. My husband and I booked this cruise a year ago and were very excited to sail on this brand new ship. Sadly, we were a bit disappointed with this cruise.
Embarkation was a breeze. The ship itself is immaculate and the crew was overall very friendly. With the exception of the ...
A friend of mine chose this cruise after being referred by a travel agent who had never sailed on the ship. I had read the reviews but hoped for the best.
What we liked: very friendly staff who clearly work their butts off. The Cirque du Soleil show was excellent as was the Born to Rock show. We splurged on dinner at Butcher's Cut, which was excellent, too but cost close to $150 for 2 ...
This is a very pretty ship but I am afraid that didn;t make up for the bad service.
We were a girlie group (3 sisters and my daughter) holding a reunion to celebrate two birthdays. Two of us came from UK to meet the ship and two from USA. Our party included a Business Manager, a Lawyer, an Travel Agent and a Diamond Class Cruise Queen! So we were not naive with our expectations.
The ...
This was my first and last time cruising with MSC. I travelled with my sister, and we were both super excited to try a new cruise line. We had an “Aurea” balcony room. I’m not very hard to please, and the room was ok despite having no storage space besides the closet. The first night on the ship the hot water went out, and was not fixed until the first stop at port over 24 hours later. After a ...
We were on the Encore for a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise departing on Feb 16th in accessible room 10886. Automatic room door was a great help. My husband in his wheelchair could handle room access unassisted. The roll-in shower arrangement was excellent - no water to mop up after showers. The ramping to the balcony was easy to use because there was no drop off going out the door onto the ...
We chose this cruise primarily because it was a new ship and we wanted to experience the latest and greatest in cruise ship offerings. This was also our longest cruise to date (7 nights) so we spent the extra money on a balcony suite, especially since there were a couple total days at sea.
As for the ship itself, it was quite beautiful and clean, as you might expect a new ship to be. However, ...
I choose this cruise because I wanted to bring my four grown sons to Jost Van Dyke an Excursion offered while in Tortola on 2/20. The excursion got sold out & the time being there was changed from 8:00 to 5:00 pm to 6:00am to 2:00pm. & was not notified. I called the cruise line To ask about being added for this excursion and was told I could put my name on a waitlist once onboard the ship. When ...
