Review for Carnival Spirit to South Pacific

First Time Cruiser

Age 50s

If our taste buds could make memories, we will have to get some therapy because our one and only meal on board left a horrible taste in our mouth. Everywhere we looked for lunch was deep fried , frozen or just not great Chefs who specialise in food would not be involved in this display of un healthy food. Carnival you really have to change the photos of the food and the description you are ...

We cannot praise the Captain and staff of the Golden Princess enough! We have just returned from a 13 day cruise to New Zealand that was cut short by 4 days because of the current global crisis. During this uncertain time we were kept up to date at all times as the situation developed and were treated with the utmost respect. The food onboard was incredible and nothing was too much trouble for our ...

I am really impressed with the way the Captain and crew of the Golden Princess responded to constantly-changing circumstances while we were on our New Zealand cruise. Our captain kept us up-to-date as much as he could with regular, friendly, well-explained announcements whenever new news or regulations came in. Although plans seemed to change daily, the focus was always on the well-being, comfort ...

Have been on spirit before ..4 times encouraged a group of 9 to go on this cruise and asked to b seated in the middle area of dining .Bottom level so we could see everything that was going on..And was put in a corner behind a service area where we could see nothing..Asked again and was moved 3 tables away ..The food in the buffet at breakfast and lunch was nearly always burnt and hard..The laundry ...

It was our first ocean cruise although we have done river cruises. We did it for the cruise experience rather than the destination (been to NZ many times). It went from Melbourne to Auckland. We had an Aqua class cabin. Most cabins of same size and with small balcony - difference only in deck and benefits e.g. Aqua meant expedited boarding, own restaurant, canapes, etc. We were very impressed with ...

Hi all My wife and son and myself choose this cruise as it left from Melbourne our home city easier we thought. We found the ship to be leaking and the age group on boat old honestly if you didn't have a walking frame or walking stick or even a ride on bike you felt out of place no offense to anyone just not our thing. As this was the age demagraffic the activities on board suited them ...

10+ Cruises

The cruise itinerary was possibly the worst I have been on. (Seventh to this area). Due to the Corona virus the island of Mare was taken off the agenda. I would much prefer visits to the smaller islands where beaches and the availability to swim in the clear waters. However knew what to expect when I booked the cruise. Rain and bad weather caused the cancellation of tours on Noumea, but that is ...

This is our fourth cruise and our first trip with Princess cruises. We are both in our early 60's but found that the average cruiser was much older with very few young people and families on board. We make friends very easily, yet found it difficult this cruise, I'm sorry to say. I would not recommend Princes cruises if your under 65 as everything on board is catered for an older crowd, from ...

We booked this cruise on the Golden Princess for our Golden wedding anniversary. We had to pay an extra $630 above the advertised price in the Herald Sun. When moving into our cabin (Stateroom is a joke) we found it contained two bunks folded against the walls above the double bed. This made it very hard to try and get around the bed to get into it. Fortunately our very helpful cabin steward ...

We went on this cruise as a large family group, 13 people across 4 cabins, as the dates and length of cruise suited everyone. I have been on the P&O Eden once and the Carnival Legend (twice) before. Highlights of the Aria - kids club, both turtle cove and shark shack, the staff were terrific and the events they held across the ship were great fun. The Edge, lasertag and zip line, we had ...
