We've stayed on Maui before so we only signed up for the Lahaina shopping tour which was fine...pretty port but commercialized area as one would expect. ...
LOVED Maui! Spent 2 days in Lahaina, took the public transit bus #28 to the beach (whalers wharf) for $4 and had an amazing time! Would highly recommend touring on your own, the ship tours offered are crazy expensive! ...
Lahaina was our favourite port in Hawaii, and we enjoyed walking around the port area, eating, and sampling the various beverages. We also visited the Maui gold plantation which was also excellent. ...

You can also rent water gear and coolers ...

We had a car reserved with Thrifty (this was the only port we ...
