Hired a car and went up the volcano. Very misty and wet and hard to see the crater. If you want to see the sun rise you must book three days in advance. Drove Hana road . Very scenic. Very limited shops but nice to drive around. ...
Maui was awesome! I downloaded an audio driving tour from Shaka Guide. They have several aps for the Hawaiian Islands. I downloaded The Road to Hana and it was FANTASTIC! It is a GPS ap so as you drive, the ap tells you what is around you and where to go next. We also got up VERY early and drove to Mt. Haleakala to watch the sun rise. So beautiful! ...

We hired a car before the cruise and were collected by the shuttle which took us directly to the airport desk. We were off to Lahaina within 20 minutes for a drive of about one hour. Lots to do in Lahaina including a self guided tour of the town. Be sure to visit the banyan tree behind the courthouse where you can sit and relax. When driving back to port do not take the road via Kapalua to ...
