Tendering was a negative, but once you got off the ship, landing in Lahaina was great. Lots to see within walking distance and much more interesting than Kahului.

Although Lahaina Maui is a tender, we had our best overall time there. The weather was great the best of the entire cruise, 80 & sunny. Walked over to "Baby's Beach" 15 min. left of town. Well worth the effort, great protected cove, clear warm water but not too many fish. I swam 100 yards out in only 5 ft. of water, but only saw 3 varieties, about a 15/20 fish, but great beach and views of the ship & coastline. Walked around the bustling town, shopped and had a great Hawaiian (local) beer there. Read Less

We were on the tender at this port and it was a painstakenly long wait to wait for a lifeboat when you consider there were a couple of thousand passengers. It was especially frustrating waiting in the lifeboat where it was hot and humid while waiting for a space to dock. This port offered a lot in the way of the art in the park, restaurants, and shops as soon as one disembarked. The only downfall was a lack of free internet service. Read Less

Love Maui. Our favorite of all the Hawaiian islands. Lots to do, great beaches, great restaurants, great shopping opportunities. Nice people. Not too crowded, either. Oh, and the whales - tons and tons of whales. Fantastic.
