Here one can easily take the lift from the cruise dock up into the center of Valetta. This is a very old anciet city which is easy to wander around and visit the world war 2 museum. If one is not taking a cruise excursion allow plenty of time to get back to the ship as the traffic on Malta can be horrendous in summer. ...

I then got the hop on hop off bus to go to Mdina but it was way too fats and scary. Loved Mdina and thankfully the ride back was better. ...

Do not take the Hop On Hop Off buses. They are not worth the time. Although they do cover 2-3 routes for one price no one could tell us which route we were on as they all depart from the same location.
