The crew were unfailingly nice and attentive, not a single person who wouldn't smile and say hello, even the odd mechanic or engineering worker who I bumped into.
I am aware staff on cruises work really hard but I think Thomson have a reputation for treating them better than some other cruise lines. I'm an HR Manager so I tend to automatically look for the cracks, what do you have to do to get ...
To say I was a bit apprehensive about going it alone is an understatement but it was the best experience ever! I flew from Glasgow with Easyjet. The flight was 30 minutes late leaving but made up the time en route. Arrived in Malaga, through passport control and collected my luggage in jig time. There were plenty of Thomson reps at the airport to guide me to the coach. Journey to the port took ...
Brilliant holiday made all the better by good food excellant and friendly staff in all departments including entertainment (which on other cruises we have been on has been hit and miss). A special mention has to go to Captain Chris and the cruise director who were so friendly and worked so well together which made it so funny and enjoyable for all the guests.
The all inclusive drinks package ...
Having cruised last October on Tui Discovery I had no hesitation in booking this cruise on its new sister ship Tui Discovery 2, and was not disappointed.
I travelled with my four children (aged 19, 17, 14 and 8) and all five of us had a fantastic time.
Embarkation (and disembarkation) were smooth and swift, which always helps on a cruise! And, on boarding, our luggage arrived at our cabins ...
Everything from the captain to his crew were fantastic, this was our first cruise but won't be our last.all the staff were outstanding but 3 stuck out for me.
We went to the venue bar most evenings, there were 2 bartenders that really stuck out for my husband and myself these two did an amazing job of entertaining the customers with their smiles and personalities. (in fact i named them ant and ...
We have cruised before but this was on another level. We had an inside cabin on deck 2 plenty room and storage space compared to other cruises we have taken. Booking in went very smoothly and soon we were exploring the ship. Where do you start when you have 11 decks to check out. We went to the islands buffet once could not get a seat so never went back. So I cannot say what the food was like ...
We first sailed on Discovery 2 on the 11th June 2017 and loved it so much booked again for the 16th July. We enjoyed the second cruise every bit as much as the first. I really can't think of anything about which to complain. The food was varied and enjoyable, and there was a good choice of restaurants. Service was excellent and the wines offered were very good. Entertainment throughout the ...
We must say what a fantastic holiday cruise we have just witnessed a well maintained ship with excellent staff and great food mainly Restaurant 47 with Alexander and Jake who where exceptional waiters. Also all the bar staff in the atrium bar were excellent, helpful and very polite and friendly. I have a gluten tolerance so need gluten free foods and was more than happy with the whole selection of ...
We absolutely loved this ship and had a superb holiday.
The ship is big but not overwhelming. It is beautifully appointed through out and is kept scrupulously clean. There are plenty of lifts and never had a significant wait. Try the glass lifts from the atrium, nice way to travel to decks 9 and 10.
Deck 9 is the main pool. It gets very busy with the usual Sunbed issues. There are also ...
My wife and myself have been cruising with Thomson for 11 years now, and this was definitely the best too date. We booked an outside deluxe cabin on deck 7, mid ship, without balcony.
The room had a large floor to ceiling window, which gave us a lovely view. The room consisted of both round and flat pin sockets, but also had USB charging sockets on the bedside lights, which we found to be a ...
