I am posting my comments about the NCL Ireland cruise we took from 9/23 - 10/3. This post is for people who have not yet taken this cruise so they can see all of the issues we encountered and hopefully they will reconsider.
- Three ports (all tenders) were canceled due to a bad storm going through Ireland. The captain said he canceled the ports because of safety concerns. But he should have ...
Just got back from a cruise on Sky Princess.
We were told in May we had to pay the balance which we did.
On joining the cruise we found that other people on the same drinks package as us had better benefits even if it was there first time with princess, whilst Princess cruisers with multiple cruises under their belt had less benefits.
To top this at the start of the cruise bars were ...
I went on this particular ship on the recommendation of my traveling companion. She had been on the Star a few years ago and said how wonderful the accommodations, the fabulous food and entertainment had been. Sign me up! I don't know what ship she was on but it wasn't this one. The cabin was fine; what was to be expected. The food was horrifying!
It was so unappetizing. Sometimes I ...
This was a bucket list cruise to celebrate both turning 70 this year. We have sailed on Sky Princess twice before and booked New England and Canada cruise as we loved everything about the previous cruises and thought it a great fit for our special cruise.
We had no idea that, after packages were booked and paid for, Princess would re-invent what they were actually offering in said packages. We ...
Embarkation was ok after that it all went downhill. Firstly the mini suite is just that minute. It boasts a walk in wardrobe which is just a rail of clothes which are on show for all to see. The balcony is so tiny you can barely fit two people on. The ship does not have enough seating for passengers on a sea day of which there were many on this cruise. We booked 18 months ago in all good faith but ...
I would not recommend Sky Princess its too big 3500 passengers you have to queue for everything nowhere to sit inside on sea days in poor weather. Small theatre and uncomfortable. Cabins OK but bathrooms small and poorly designed small shower with a curtain so floor is always wet. Menus poorly designed limited choice. Staff are as usual excellent and tye only good thin on the ship. I will never ...
Cruise selected as destinations allowed us to meet up with friends and family.
We are long term Cunard cruisers , having also travelled with several other lines including a previous Princess which was good.
Boarding a nightmare at SOU, “stateroom” good ( mini suite with bath).
Public room seating is for approx. 1500 passengers ,not 3500.
Theatre seats 900 therefore two shows only ...
Chose this cruise as never been to Canada and liked the itinerary. So disappointed, this was such a boring ship, never before have I spent so much time in the cabin, luckily they do have a great selection of films to watch. The daytime entertainment was sadly lacking and no ambience onboard. Evening time if you wanted to watch a show you had to arrive at least 30mins early to try and get a seat which ...
First time on the P&O IONA and it was absolutely dreadful. Way way too busy as you could never get any seats in the day or night, absolutely first rate USELESS phone App booking system to get into any standard restaurants or shows and we gave in after a few days. Entertainment wasn't great at all and the food was so so tbh with queuing everywhere you went. The Gala evenings weren't really Gala ...
My husband and i have been cruising for over 30 years and our experience with cunard was the absolute worst. we would never sail with them again nor would we recommend them to anyone.
Our issues with the line began well before the cruise departed. their web site is difficult to navigate and provides only the minimal amount of information. our cruise fare included a beverage package and a ...
