British Isles Cruise - the one where Princess cuts costs at every possible place! I think there should be a law against saying it stops at say Dublin for example and then you have to find you way there at extra cost because your miles away. You need to factor extra spends such as £10 to Edinburgh, $20 le Harve, £13 Belfast, Dublin around £6 , Glasgow not sure as booked a tour here, same in Cork. ...
We have previously cruised on Diamond Princess which was fabulous and expected the same standard. How wrong we were. On our way to the port we got a txt to say embarkation was delayed until 3pm. Our checkin time was 11.30. So we went into town and paid to park and bought lunch.Tried to go to CPS car at 1pm and turned away and told of further delays a d come back at 3pm.. Into town again...Returned ...
We were a group of 3.
We arrived in good time at Southampton to the usual queues. Once it was our turn, one of our party was told he needs the NHS app as proof of immunisation. As he had an old phone that did not load apps, we had to borrow a member of staff's phone. He got so far and was then told via the app he needed to be verified and to wait for an email. So he waited and waited for 5 ...
Whilst we had participated on a 2-week P&O cruise to the Mediterranean previously (6/10), this particular 1-week cruise to the Norwegian Fjords was without doubt a much better experience (7/10).
The live entertainment (8/10) was the best we had experienced and, on the whole, very good and where it could on occasions be compared to the quality we have often experienced in the West End.
Food ...
We have sailed Carnival (1st cruise) Celebrity, Disney when our kids were young, moved up and settled on Crystal. Sadly when Crystal folded, we had to find another "luxury line". This was our first cruise in 3 years, and we had been looking forward to trying Regent as we had heard wonderful things. We actually started this cruise on June 16th in Bilbao, and picked this cruise to see Ireland and ...

This was my sixth cruise on Princess, and my 12th cruise over all. I chose this cruise because of the itinerary, never having been to Norway plus it was very Port intensive which I like. Having done my homework, I knew that island princess had been carved up into a Frankenstein ship to expand passenger capacity, adding 250 extra state rooms (she was the sister ship the coral ...
Let me preface this by saying that I've been on 14 cruises over the past 20 years and never felt the need to write a review, but the Sky Princess cruise of Norway from Jun 11 - Jun 25 was such a special kind of FUBAR that I couldn't let it pass.
If I'm being honest, this isn't totally a rip on the Princess cruise line because many of the aspects like poor weather, mechanical issues, and acts ...
It promised to be a memorable cruise, and Norway didn’t disappoint at all. The slightly damp air was no problem, adding to the pure freshness of the air. On the sixth day I went down with covid and the following morning was isolated after a positive test and remained in isolation until the end of the voyage – it wasn’t seriously bad just a fever but disabling nonetheless. So a few words of what it ...
only glad we booked just a week and are happy to be home.
The Port arrangements were chaotic to say the least
The ship was a huge disappointment and seemed to have been built to Industrial standards with the atrium being more metal than anything and the areas around, in greys and whites were more like a factory rest area than a quality cruise ship.(What's happened to the classy areas with ...
