Thurs 5 May, at home, completed health questionnaire, LFT negative, and last minute packing. We returned home yesterday from QE voyage Southampton to San Francisco and had a wonderful time aboard. On arriving in Southampton at 12.15 as requested we were surprised by the number of passengers waiting for Covid testing. Obvious the stated time was not adhered to. Absolutely fantastic in every way. The crew are all absolutely brilliant, every need is attended to immediately, nothing is to much trouble, good crew to customer ratio didn't have to wait long for anything. Multiple restaurants for every taste, fine dining with views across the sea, steaks, Indian, burgers, vegi options somewhere to eat almost 24hs, Lovely cocktails and such a good system ...

Finally, at, I think, our seventh attempt we made it back on to a Cunard ship, and enjoyed ourselves very much. We have cruised with Cunard many times and were pleased to see everything was much as expected, with a few differences because of Covid. Great to be back on board the QE even if for only 4 days. Our first cruise for 30 months since the pandemic. Fast efficient check in. Pleased with covid precautions still in place. Ship very clean and the food and services all to a very good standard considering the circumstances. Special mention to Antonio for looking after us so well (again) in the Britannia Restaurant.
