Queues and More Queues!

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

Our first cruise with MSC; we have just returned from a week around the Ffords. It is truly a stunning ship however I am not too sure if we will return. It would take a good deal to tempt us back. The ship was full and didn’t we know it. Queues everywhere (and I mean everywhere)! There felt a chronic lack of outdoor space – luckily, we were blessed with gorgeous weather but if it was raining ...

Enchanted Princess Failed to Enchant Us

Very sad and frustrating for us, as we have previously been lucky to have cruised on Regal and Sky Princess five times within the last year. Only sating this as we anticipated similar standards across the ship. Regrettably it was not to be. First the ship is clean, well maintained and an easy layout since we have sailed on this class of ship before. The itinerary was not what Cruise Critic ...

Disappointing

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

We wanted to visit Guernsey and this 2 night mini cruise seemed a good way to do it. We have previously cruised with MSC on the Bellissima and Fantasia in Dubai and the Med and had very good experiences but unfortunately not this time. Easy boarding at 2 pm but kept waiting for luggage which eventually arrived at 7pm. Every attempt to trace or collect my case was shrugged off. One passengers case ...

MSC VIRTUOSA SHAMBLES

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

This cruise was chosen as a taster cruise for my two grandaughters aged 7 and 11 and as a special treat. My husband and I carefully chose our family cabin, which we were pleased with on the first night, but the second night we had to ring reception twice at half 1am and again at 1-45am to complain about the the noise of music going on at a party two floors above (am guessing it was the White ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

First of all, I am a very experienced cruiser including very high end like Regent and more moderate lines like Celebrity. I was very excited to sail on Cunard as I had heard so much praise and accolades for the white star service, the food and the elegance of the ship. So my perspective is comparing to what I know of other lines. First of all, the good. Hands down, the cocktails are the ...

It's definitely not the cream of the crop - it barely rises to the top! - Neither worth the money nor the experience.

Celebrating a 25-year wedding anniversary of friends. Check-in was slow and tedious. Personnel unable to properly read vaccination certificates (due to dates in UK and USA being written differently!). Debarkation was an absolut disaster. They blamed it on the US Authorities. Not sure it's to be believed. The dress code, although highly-touted, was neither applied nor enforced. Don't bother ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

We excitingly embarked on this two week sailing for what we hoped would be a nice way to relax and unwind - how very wrong we were. When we first arrived we had high hopes as we had cruised on the Anthem twice before and had a great experience. The main issue was the many teenagers running up and down the hallways and banging on doors and walls, being rude and intimidating to other guests and crew ...

Princess just doesn’t deliver You get what you pay for

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Crown Princess

We’ve cruised a lot on Holland America & have tried 4 other lines. To put it in perspective, Princess hits the bottom ranking. Had a great cruise consultant & the app seemed promising. Originally booked for May to Alaska, but once in Seattle, they offered us an upgrade to rebook. Reimbursement for airfare changes was to be awarded in 4-6 weeks….called at 8 weeks & was told that they were working ...

Nowhere near good enough

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Iona

This is my first cruise from Southampton and with P&O for which I had great expectations. The check in was fairly slick but got little help from the baggage handlers which was a bit frustrating as I use a walking stick! The rest of the check in went well although by the time I got to my cabin I was truly tired. The cabin was nice, and the room stewardess was very professional and introduced ...
