We booked a Suite SJ Category with a upgraded package for Drinks, Wifi, etc. From Day 1 there was a constant noise in the cabin and NCL refused to do anything. After repeated complaints they gave us a voucher for future travel which doesn't mean anything.
The Wifi was of poor quality.
Then the stop to Belfast was cancelled.
All the Port tours in Iceland and Norway were delayed.
The ...
This was my third NCL cruise and I pretty much knew what I thought I was getting into- but the itinerary was so good as well as the price that ten of us signed up.
First the problems with the ship, The Getaway, it seemed nice at first and our inside cabin was better than expected. Within the first day of a sixteen day cruise you realize the ship has major shortcomings. There is absolutely no ...
Horrible ! Horrible! The intinerary was amazing and the only saving grace for this cruise. The ship was horrible. Unorganized. Poor customer service. Food OK. Most stressful cruise I have ever taken. Stood in que for 1 hour in windy and cold weather before getting on a tender. Could find no NCL staff to talk to. When we noticed them, they were away from crowd gathered together. Noisy ...
This was our second cruise. The first was also with Norwegian and went well. Ship arrived on time, docked in places suitable for an easy visit in port. We foolishly thought that was how all cruises might work. Not on the Getaway, which was a mess from the start. Our room was opposite a crew exit, which was left open so that any drunk passenger could use at 2am or 3am. I eventually had to sleep on ...
An anniversary treat, except it wasn't. Long long queue to get onboard. Long ,long queue to get a cup of tea and something to eat in the buffet restaurant. Then no table to sit at. Go to a bar -when it eventually opened- and waited 15 mins to get a drink. This ship has room for over 6000 guests and staff for 3000. West end shows -one night a singer -then another night a comedian.
The balcony ...
This was my first cruise experience which I most definitely will not be repeating.
Boarding at Southampton was like waiting to board a ferry, sat in the car along side the ship for an hour in an enormous queue.
The cabin was in need of updating but it was clean with comfortable beds.
The buffet can only be described as the equivalent of a motorway service station. Food being offered ...
Picked this cruise because we wanted to go to Iceland.
First given a dirty room made to wait inside for 3 hours to find a replacement
Trips were expensive if the boat decided To stop somewhere
First port was tender badly organised took 5 hours to get off the boat
Then they started altering the ports ended up only half a day in Reykjavík and cancelling Guernsey.
Food wasn’t great ...
After my experience on the Celebrity Silhouette, the Celebrity cruise line has fallen to the bottom of my list. This is after more than 40 cruises on 8 different cruise lines.
At embarkation, a drink of water or lemonade was for Suite passengers only.
The Embarkation Lunch for Concierge Class passengers included a salmon filet that was overcooked, tough and chewy short ribs, a table for 2 ...
We took this 11-day cruise to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Our group had 25 people. This is our second time cruising on Prima and would be our last.
- Embarkation: Very smooth.
- Food: Buffet food was not that great. We got 8 specialty diners so we don't have to go to the buffet. Our favorite restaurants were Palomar, Cagney, and Onda. The Garden buffet was a disaster. ...
I’ve been cruising before with Royal Caribbean and couldn’t wait to try out Iona.
For a newly built ship, I’m surprised how tired it is already looking, but then with the hoards of families and kids abusing it every week I guess it is no surprise.
I would avoid a cabin on deck 9 if you have a balcony - the promenade right outside means people can look in, especially if you have a hot tub ...
