The shore excursions were extortionate When we docked at Marseille, they frightened some passengers into paying $20 for a shuttle, there was a free bus at the entrance to the port

The Tudor House and Garden is a must see. It's not big but it has a lovely tranquil garden and plenty to see in the house. It's not expensive either.

We spent two nights before the cruise at the Novotel Hotel, downtown by the port. Lots to area walk around and see. Lots of places to eat at.

There was no public transportation to the cruise terminal which would have been nice. We had to walked about 1/2 mile to get to the terminal

Always travel down the day before and stay at The Holiday Inn next to the terminals. The weather was so good that we took the ferry to the IoW for the afternoon and spent a lovely few hours in Cowes.
