Less Staff/Waiters around means very long wait times to get served both in the bars and dining rooms
High percentage of Waiters are Training and therefore the quality of service is very ...
It’s been a year since we cruised with Celebrity, and two years since we sailed on the Silhouette.
So we were looking forward to this 8 night northern Spain and France cruise. The embarkation process was smooth, speedy and hassle free - we were on board within minutes of arriving at the terminal. However, being reunited with our luggage wasn’t without problems.
Having waited several hours ...
We were looking forward to our first time sailing with Celebrity having previously tried P&O, Ambassador and Cunard (mainly TA on current QM but 1 med cruise on current QE) On TA crossings several people we've spoken to have commented that Celebrity's food was much better than Cunards so we were especially looking forward to the dining. We've always enjoyed the food on Cunard and found Ambassadors ...
Mostly enjoyed our second trip on the Silhouette. Food and entertainment were great and staff very friendly and helpful. The staff member for our room he could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Unfortunately for the second time (we have only had two cruises!) we both contracted COVID which ruined the last couple of days (I was unable to visit Bayeux - the highlight of my trip). Upon ...
We’re experienced cruisers but our first time on P&O. We’d always believed P&O to be a cut above the rest but our experience on Ventura fell short of expectations.
There’s nothing basically wrong with P&O Ventura but it didn’t “wow”. It all felt a bit pedestrian, service reduced to a minimum, no frills, no extras. Everything feels a bit lack lustre.
Talking to other guests who have ...
This was our second and last cruise, The food was very bland with Curries every day.
Disinbarkation was a shambles. Mainly due to the Sheds being used were build for smaller Cruise Ship not ones with over 6000 passengers.
Main complaint is that my wife and I both returned with Covid, over the last few days of the Cruise more and more people were having meals delivered to their Cabins I ...
Overall I had a lovely holiday, I always try to write reviews that are honest and hopefully help other people make decisions about their holidays. I will say this is only my second cruise - my first was in 2020 with Costa to Madagascar.
I am by no means a cruise expert, but I do travel abroad at least twice a year, So i hope this helps you in some way.
We booked in January the " BRAND NEW ...
1st cruise post covid, we had this trip booked for September 2020 which was cancelled. Three of us travelling in 2 balcony cabins, part of celebrating my mums 80th birthday.
Husband and I have completed a number of cruises on Princess, RCI, Celebrity & P&O.
Boarding was one of the slickest we have experienced, 30 mins from arrival at port to being on the ship, we did arrive near to our ...
We have never cruised before but as my mother is getting on in years, it's getting to the stage where we can't do independent travel any more and we were keen to try a cruise where everything is on hand in one place.
After much deliberation and deciding not to fly, with limited options we settled on the Princess Sky culinary cruise from Southampton to Guernsey, La Rochelle, Bilbao and La ...
We chose this cruise because the itinerary was quite varied and promised a good overall experience in Europe, including 2 days in Iceland. We had also heard that NCL was a good cruise line.
Before the cruise: Spent several hours trying to book dining, shows and prepaying for services that we wished to have. Was able to book regular dining for some of the days aboard, including 4 specialty ...
