THE FOOD =. Let’s start with the food. The main restaurant looks nice to lull you into a false sense of security ... order fish... pretty close to their natural environment what can go wrong?.... wet spongy bread crumbs with wafer thin fish floating on a bed of water .... breakfast a very strange lamb sausage and rubber egg..... cram everyone into one corner and if you have the utter cheek to ask ...

The Dream was a NIGHTMARE!!

From arrival to departure the whole experience was not what we have come to expect from Marella, having previously cruised five times on Thomson/Marella cruises with good experiences. We joined the ship in Las Palmas only to find we had arrived in the middle of a Norovirus outbreak! The ship was under a sanitation shutdown! Pools, jacuzzi’s and library closed! Buffet restaurants were not ...

I chose this cruise because it covered NewYears eve and my wifes 70th birthday. The best part of the cruise was the firework display provided buy Funchal, thank goodness TUI didn't have anything to do with this , other than docking in Fuchal. The ship was in the midst of a virus issue and underwent a chlorine deep clean of all the ships plumbing in Tenerife the day before we left for home. This ...

Cheap and Tacky

The fact it was going to Morocco was of interest and it fitted in with the time we had . The itinery itself left a lot to be desired. The onboard catering was of very poor quality. On the buffet asked for ice cream to be told they have no freezers on this floor and could only put ice cream on once a week. They did sometimes put on wok cooking that was good. We had an outside cabin so ...

I was always told "if you have nothing positive to say, don't say anything at all"! However, after reading some of the reviews I felt I should give my opinion. Firstly I agree with all that ' STEVE L 24' said in his review, This ship is not tired, as some have kindly referred to it, but should be RE-tired! It's so well past it's best I believe it's beyond redemption. The cleaning staff do there ...

Our first and last cruise. Such a disappointment

We were looking forward to our MSC Armonia Cruise having never been on one before and knowing it has been recently refurbished. We thought we had done our research and made enough enquiries to ensure a happy and memorable family holiday . We were assured that there would be enough space for our family in the Balcony Stateroom for 4 and were told we also had a large balcony (it was not). There was ...

We were so disappointed in our cruise with Thomson at Christmas 2014 around the Canary Islands. We have cruised many times with Thomsons, last Christmas was great on the Celebration, but this year was a shambles. We were on the Majesty a year last February when 5 crew members were killed, (so we know the ship) as you can imagine this was very upseting for us at the time. However I can only sing ...

Very Very disappointed, we will never travel on this ship again. Where do I start...... paid £3,908 for 2 of us for a 14 day cruise. We were advised that this was a similar ship with the high standards that we experienced on the 14 day cruise last year on the Thomson Dream. It is a very tired ship, cleanliness is a problem despite the housekeeping staff working all hours. Not worth the money we ...

My husband and I got back today 4th Jan 2015 and felt I had to warn people not to go on this cruise ship. I wish I had done more homework prior to booking but had not had a bad experience and probably got a tad complacent. I have been on numerous cruises and found them all to be brilliant quality and what you would expect ie great food choice and quality, luxury surroundings, excellent ...

So Disappointed

We were really looking forward to a Christmas Cruise around the Canary Islands. Whilst we have cruised on numerous occasions, this has been with P&O and Celebrity and I really didn't think there could be that much difference between them all. But how wrong was I? There is just no comparison, the Thomson Majesty is far inferior to any other ship we've been on. On the plus side, the weather was ...
