We just strolled around Arrecife as we had been previously. It is a pleasant town.

We did our own walking tour around the city. It was quite hot and, since we will be returning in 2017 to explore outside the city, we did not join an organized tour.

Once again I chose to push the wheelchair rather than wait for an accessible shuttle bus. 5-10 minute walk from the ship on a very flat surface we reached a marina which had a number of expensive shops but also a small supermarket which had free wifi access! We then carried on walking for another 10 minutes before reaching some shops. Not impressed but then we weren't there for shopping! LOL We then carried on walking along the seafront which was very flat and managing to find seats for me to rest on. We eventually walked to a beach area were a number of the passenegers were. Decided to get a taxi back which cost 4 euros. Read Less

Stayed on ship; however heard from others that it was well worth the trip to see how their grape vines are grown, so different than everywhere else.

Such a pretty place! Low rise buildings and all white. Shame it was Sunday and most were closed, but the main street was open with some good bargains. Would like to return some day.

Was not impressed with the look of the port so we did not get off the ship. There wasn't even any market stalls close to the ship that we could have looked at. I would never want to visit here again.

The "local" beach, about 10 mins away, was not as calm and safe as I thought it would be. Would probably have been better to have taken a taxi to the next beach.

We actually went to La Spezia rather than Livorno. We toured on our own by taking a ferry to Portovenere and Cinque Terre. Wonderful and easy. We weren't in port long enough to get off at all of the Cinque Terre towns.
