The village where the locals are located is overwhelming. I understand they want to sell their items but they were so insistent that we left the area.

Labadee is pretty, but 1) the food/drink service was not very good and 2) I would strongly avoid the craft village. There are nice things to buy in the artisans market but avoid the hawkers in the orange shirts leading you up the hill to the village. It's a very high pressure sales area and you will likely be unhappy buying things you don't want. The market building has the same offerings (and more) at comparable prices. Labadee is relaxing but overall it's not one of my favorite ports. Read Less

If you have a mobility problem don't bother getting off the ship. The walk from mid-ship to the island is almost 1/2 mile and there aren't any jitneys or golf carts to drive you there.

The beach was fine and the food was good - however it was all overshadowed for me by the shopping area and the pressure to buy from them.

"Back in the day" (says the long-time cruiser) Labadee was a great port to visit. Plenty of room to grab a little piece of sand in the shade and dunk in the lovely blue and warm water. Now, RCI uses it to just make more money. You have to pay to rent everything or else good luck finding a spot after 10:00 AM. Best bet is to stay on the ship and enjoy the relative emptiness of the pool areas. Read Less

The Royal Caribbean food provided was awful. The drinks were watered down. The beach was ok. But the excursions were over priced for what they were.

We wanted to browse the little shops and probably would’ve bought stuff but the local people were constantly all over you. Wasn’t expecting such pushy salespeople on RC’s private island. It doesn’t make for a pleasant shopping experience so we left and got back on the boat. Would’ve loved to do some of the more adventurous excursions but my boyfriend is a bigger guy at around 275lbs and he tipped the weight limit on almost all of them. Even when he was just under the limit we were scared to risk it for safety reasons in a foreign country. I’d imagine there were quite a few people from the ship in a similar predicament. I didn’t wanna go on the excursions alone because the idea is to experience it together. Read Less

Labadee is not scooter or wheel-chair friendly. The “pathway/sidewalk is very sandy and there is no paved road to ride them on. There is a building with a few vendors and a pathway/ sidewalk on the backside with access to a few more, there were more vendors that are not accessible to the aforementioned people. Due to sand and curbs. BEWARE the majority of vendors are very aggressive for your tourist dollars. I would not recommend for people with disabilities. The cook out was ok. Eat on the ship. Read Less

Water had trash floating around the rocks, the attendants were not very attentive. In all day, we saw them only 3 or 4 times. One of them seemed so stoned he was barely able to comprehend our drink orders.
