Sunday and it was very quiet but so easy to walk into the centre. There were not many places open but this meant plenty of space to stroll through the narrow streets and read the descriptions of the houses on multi-lingual plaques. We also popped into a church service and sat and enjoyed the atmosphere. It was very informal with people coming and going and greeting each other all the time the service was taking place. Read Less

In the port of Palma de mallorca, there is no sufficient public transport, but there are a lot of cheap taxis. We took a taxi to Palma Nova to go to the beach.

All potsokay except Agadir - docks in a dreary comercial dock- and the town is not worth going to. Madiera and Lanzarote are both excellent along with La Palma.

We were there on a Sunday when most of the stores are closed but a lot of them opened for us. Very nice town with everything within walking distance. Food was really good and reasonably priced. Two local girls were playing in a square and that added a nice touch. A bus was provided to take us from the ship to town and that was a help. The information booth was right as we got off the bus which was a huge help! Shop workers very friendly. If one didn't speak English well they'd find one who could. Read Less

Did our own thing again, we were there on 3 May which is a special day for the island with many 'Guy Fawkes' style figures around the town. People obviously spend months on preparation for this day.

This is an unspoilt canary island little known. It is of course very Spanish in nature and like southern Spain used to be before the developers moved in. we opted to take a trip to the caldera on the island which we did by bus and taxi the scenery there is spectacular but walking there is not for elderly or disabled. The taxi waited for an hour for us free of charge to take us back which we thought was terrific. Read Less

We did a ship's tour that was Volcano and Wine. The volcano area was scenic and it was nice to walk along the edge of the volcano. The wine was interesting, not quite to my taste.
