We took a walk to the observation tower. Quite steep steps up, would have been a great view if the windows hadn't been misted up.

Casual stroll to soak in sun and Norwegian laid back lifestyle. Walk along the dock and ocean towards the centre. There is a park with good view of the city that is recommended.

Nothing very much to see. Our guide was rather disappointing. He didn't give much explanation.

For 15 euros round trip, we took a little train/trolley past the fish market and into the city center where we walked around, visited the old church and enjoyed the local scenery.

We had a wonderful day without taking a ship excursion. There is a handy little tourist tram right at dockside and we enjoyed exploring the city center and park area up on the hill above town.

small city with some shops and restaurants and a pretty waterfront. Baneheia (sp?) Park above the city is a gem with lakes and hiking trails. Food and drink is very expensive (US $8.50 for a bottle of Norwegian beer).

Do like the small towns, was pretty simple but pleasant, walked off and did the town. Less time here would've been okay.

I walked off the ship into town. Not much to do here. I felt this port was just a filler.

However, we were there on a Sunday, and other than cafes and bars being open, everything else was pretty well closed. Cruise line had cancelled a tour that we had booked for Kristiansand. Read Less

Short time and rainy day so we only did HOp and Off. The Vigiland park is amazing.
